Enterprise data warehouse for a Swiss insurer
Branche: Insurance | Zeitraum: 2015–2017 | Rolle: Data integration & architecture
Starting point: A reporting landscape that had grown over time across several insurance products, plus bank data from an acquired subsidiary. Separate data stores, inconsistent definitions, no shared foundation.
Aufgabe: A new enterprise data warehouse across all product lines — while the legacy systems stayed in operation.
Solution: Overall architecture with a bypass for parallel running, a BI layer and marts, restartable load concepts, web-service returns, automated tests and row-level permissions.
Ergebnis: A shared data foundation across all lines; specialist teams produce their own reports, and results are traceable back to the source.

Regulatory applications for a major bank
Branche: Banking | Zeitraum: 2010–2012 | Rolle: Development & technical project leadership
Starting point: After several banks were acquired, data sat in different core banking systems — while supervisory requirements kept rising.
Solution: Four applications: AML, automated credit decisions, deposit guarantee and FATCA — from development through to taking over operations.
Ergebnis: Production applications in a supervisory environment, with documented processes and controlled batch processing.

Platform migration to the cloud
Branche: Retail | Zeitraum: 2021–2022 | Rolle: Development & systems engineering
Aufgabe: Migration of CRM and reporting systems to the cloud while operations continued.
Solution: Teradata → Google BigQuery / Teradata Cloud, reengineering of existing scripts, inclusion in batch operations, new web front ends for reporting and campaigns.
Ergebnis: Reporting and campaign systems run on the new platform — without interrupting daily business.

IFRS 17 at an international reinsurer
Branche: Reinsurance | Zeitraum: 2019 | Rolle: Development & analysis
Solution: IFRS 17 concept and data analysis on OLAP cubes, risk reports, reports and dashboards, review of the business marts, training for specialist teams.
Ergebnis: A reliable data foundation for the changeover — and specialist teams that work with the reporting tools on their own.

Platform migration at an insurer
Branche: Insurance | Zeitraum: 2014–2015 | Rolle: Migration concept & implementation
Aufgabe: Full migration of the analysis systems from z/OS to Linux — concept, test environment, production go-live.
Ergebnis: A production analysis environment on Linux, defined from the test environment and fully documented.
